Jean-Bernard Duvivier was a Belgian painter, draftsman and illustrator. During his lifetime, he produced a variety of animal studies, including this pencil and chalk drawing of a cow’s skull. It is one of a pair he completed in 1816 showing both side and front views of the same subject.
